The original Burning Crusade was the first expansion to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft from 2004 and it was originally released in 2007.
Blizzard has now announced that World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic will be released June 1 in the US, and June 2 in Europe.
Just like 14 years ago, the Classic version comes with two new playable races, as well as new areas and raids. The entire content of the expansion will not be available at once, but will instead be released in stages.
“Burning Crusade Classic is a faithful recreation of the original release of World of Warcraft®: The Burning Crusade®. Enter the Twisting Nether and explore Outland—the shattered remains of the once beautiful orc homeworld, Draenor. Battle to level 70, ride majestic flying mounts, and master two additional races: the mystical blood elves and the pious draenei.”

The new Classic version also lets World of Warcraft Classic players choose which characters they want to move over to the expansion and which ones to stay in the base game.
Hopefully this will make the days in quarantine a little easier for some of us this summer. Stay safe!
